Questions
Do you sell channels, films or subscriptions?
No. Blackout Vault Player is only a player. It doesn't come with any content and we don't sell, host, supply or recommend any. You bring your own playlist from your own provider.
Where do I get a playlist?
From whichever provider you already pay. They give you either a server address with a username and password, or an M3U link. We can't help you find one and we don't partner with anyone who sells them.
How long is the free trial?
7 days for every new device, starting the first time you open the app. Everything works during the trial. After that it's £2 a month or £8 a year, paid here on the website.
Where do I find my device code and key?
In the app: choose Use my own playlist, or go to More → This device. They are shown on screen.
Someone gave me a code for the app.
Then you don't need this page. In the app tap Got a code? Sign in here, pop the code in and sign in with the details you were given.
Can I use one playlist on several devices?
You can add it to each device, but your provider decides how many can watch at once.
A channel won't play.
The channels come from your provider, not from us. If a channel doesn't play in any app, ask your provider about it.
Terms of use
By using Blackout Vault Player (the "app") and this website you agree to these terms.
1. It's only a player
The app is a media player. It contains no audio or video content, channels, playlists or subscriptions. We do not sell, provide, host, link to or endorse any content or content provider.
2. Your content is your responsibility
You add playlists yourself. You must only add playlists and watch content that you have the legal right to access in your country. We don't check, and can't see, what your playlist contains.
3. No illegal use
Don't use the app to access content without permission from its owner. We may block a device that is reported to us for doing so.
4. Trial and activation
Each new device gets a 7-day free trial. After that the device needs to be activated to keep using your own playlists. An activation is for one device and can't be moved to another.
5. No guarantee
The app is provided as it is. Whether a playlist plays depends on your provider and your connection, which we don't control.
6. Rights holders
We host no content, so there is nothing for us to take down. If you believe a playlist infringes your rights, contact the provider of that playlist. For anything about the app itself, email us at the address below.
Privacy
What we keep
- A random device code and key, made the first time you open the app.
- The playlist logins you add, so your device can fetch them. Nothing else about your provider.
- When the device last checked in, and from which IP address, to stop abuse of the free trial.
What we don't keep
- What you watch. Your device plays straight from your provider; nothing you watch passes through us.
- Your name, email or payment details (unless you choose to turn on sync).
- No adverts and no ad tracking.
Deleting your data
Remove a playlist on this page and it's gone from our server straight away. To delete a device entirely, email us its device code.
